Have you considered cropping from the bottom so the wall is in the left bottom corner? Would take your eye right through the shot.

I'd say that the main thing is that you saw something and made it look like that, which is the essence of being creative, no?
I recently started trying to be creative having realised that I just snap rather than create and it's a whole new ballgame.
