I run it alongside Lightroom. It's clunkier to use in some ways, but many of the more photo-shop like tools in LR have been in PR for a long time, and it has editing functions you don't find in lightroom, like layers. This is a bargain IMO.

I've edited a wedding in it, and it's my preferred package for editing people shots.

its usually able to develop with a few auto clicks and can save a lot of time post processing. At that price its a steal for a perpetual licence - go for it! . If you're still unsure there're lots of demos available to get a feel of the capabilities before buying but you'll need to be quick!
