135mm Pentacon f/2.8

I just bought one off ebay for the massive sum of £14.50. I figured it was worth a punt

Does anyone have any experience in using this lens?

Yep, which version? Preset is best, although the auto/electric versions are also very good

I bought a Hanimex 135mm f3.5 for £18 a couple of weeks ago, excellent bit of kit, very sharp and heavy but I feel like I've conned someone. It'll go nicely with my Industar 50-2 and Pentacon 2.8 29mm I picked up from LCE for a tenner.
M42 lenses are a bit of a steal!

That Hanimex is actually something else rebranded. Many of them are actually early Tokinas.

I don't actually know which version. I think it says MC on the lens. Is the MC a version?

Please check the lens very carefully when you receive it as you have been sold a Praktica PB mount lens which is unlikely to reach infinity focusing on a Canon EOS unless the focusing has been adjusted. The M42 screw mount lenses are the ones which will always work.

When you get it, focus to infinity wide open or f/4 and see whether the shot is in focus. My experience has not been good!

The lens, however, is excellent and is the last version of the auto / electric model.

I have a Pentacon 50mm and a Soligor 135mm and get superb results from both,I don't think you will be disappointed with this lens
