Just back from a quick week in the sun and saw on a newstand and foreign language camera mag witha banner about a Canon eos 1D mk4, anyone heard anything else.?

it says their flagship dslr, i thought the 1ds series were the flagship range?

and giving away a free 580ex mark 2 and case and card, they would need to give me a few lenses to at that price!

Unless you're into it as a pro £4.5k is just too much. I could live with £2.5k (ish) for the mark III but this is just too big a jump. I'm sure it's superb but it's not worth it to me.

Will drop quickly in price after release like the 7D IMHO i think it will stabilise down to around 3,000
