1st photo gig :)

Hi all,
Its been a very long while since i have have been on here as i have been very busy with work etc etc and missed several weeks on my 52 but bare with me

. I have been recomended through a friend to do some photo's for a kiddies football presentation in May, the usual photo of child and award, team photos etc. There has been no mention of money or photo proccessing just a disk for the footie manager.
I feel a little apprehensive about it because i feel i do not have the right lenses? All i have is 18-55mm & 35-70mm lens. Would these be ok? and your thoughts on any fee?

Depends on where it is? Outdoors? Indoors? Lighting at time etc etc :shrug:

Hi dave,
Its in my local town at a local centre on the evening i believe, the person knows my abilities as a photographer(beginner) and he is fine with it, he just wants photo's put on to disk so he can go to a local supermarket A*DA and print them himself,

Thats true as there has been no mention of a fee. Should i mention one? the cost of a 50mm lens lol

I think that them saying already that they are going to print them at a supermarket means that they want you to do them for free.

If you are confident in your ability to produce the pictures for a fee then tell them you will need to hire a lens and get them to cover the cost. Or use it as a learning experience where there will be no pressure on the results and you can use your current equipment.

not a massive fan of being cheap, I will do pro bono, exchange of goods/services or standard rate (maybe tailored a little). So does anyone have anything you want?

Those lenses will be fine - just remember whn doing the presentation that the 'giver' should be placed on the left so that the image 'reads' left to right...

Hi Rob,

Thanks for tip, never knew that.

While im on this subject me and my big mouth. While doing my full time job i was talking to one of my customers that i had a hobby, photography and she jumped through the roof. Her daughter is getting married in october and wants someone to take photo's as she is not getting a pro to do the shoot and she has asked me.

Just a few groups etc nothing fancy and they are willing to pay... But at what price all the want is photo's throughout the day and the disk with some edits so they can print them selfs. :naughty:
