2 displays with MacBook pro

I have an early 2011 MacBook Pro and a 20 inch apple Cinema Display. I have just purchased a dell u2413 monitor and was wondering if I can use them both seperatly? The Dell for the main images and the Cinema Display for my brushes and other photoshop panels. I do not require the MacBook screen to work as well. If yes how would I do this, one through thunderbolt and the other FireWire or USB? Thanks

Yes thats it...I used to use a usb video device with my old mbp pro.......Neater would have been to have had two thunderbolt displays
