I've had this idea for a while. I'm thinking about taking a year long 'portrait' of my local town - the people - the way they live and work and play, events, the way the place looks etc throughout 2010 - seems like a nice 'landmark' year - I didn't get round to it in 2000 - so this seems like the next best date. Pictures that will be interesting now but even more interesting in 50 years time. The local museum are interested in archiving the pictures - but so far no funding - so this is a private self financed project at the moment - if it goes ahead. Final outcome maybe a book or an exhibition - I don't know.
What do you folks think of the idea of the project? Anyone else interested in doing something similar in their town? Might be interesting if lots of people took part from all over the country?
Thoughts? Thanks!

...ended up, before giving up, being a seasonal type record more than anything else as nothing much goes on in our quaint little village... ...aside form the constant bickering between landlord and tenants in our never changing and half-empty 'high street'...
