They'd stopped for a quick cup of tea on their way back from a steam rally and the house is on that side of the lane. It's a quiet country lane with good visibility but line of sight is even better for vehicles passing on the side I was standing on, so it was safer for it to stop there for 10 mins rather than on the other side of the lane.Excellent, why is he on the wrong side of the road?
Coincidentally, this engine was abroad for a good few years of her working life after being shipped to Australia. She was then brought home to the UK to be restored and brought into preservation, and a very nice job they've done on her too.I just thought it may have been abroad
