24-70 f/2.8 Lens how much should I be paying

As the title suggests , I am in a position where I am looking for a 24-70 F/2.8 L .
I always seem to miss the real bargains but how much should I be looking to pay for a mint newish version .

I am after using it for some studio work on my 5D also for group photos outdoors .The 2.8 is not really needed for most but may be good to have

I have a 70-200 F2.8 so I think this would cover all the bases.

I may even stretch to a new one if the difference is not that much .... GULP !!!

Kerso is about £859, price will change abit though.
TBH he is probably your best bet as they are getting a bit scarce now.

I would have got one from Kerso but he was out of stock when I needed one. I ended up paying £1030 from Jacobs. Just before they seem to have dropped in price. D'oh! Nevermind thought as I love the lens.

If its for studio work or outdoors why not look at a used 24-105, not a MASSIVE diff in IQ but quite a bit cheaper.

I may find I need the 2.8 is the odd situation

True, I had the 24-105 but moved to the 24-70 for the 2.8 as I was starting weddings.

Its whether you feel its worth £300-£400 for those odd situations?

try park cameras... they have new stock apparently for about £880 delivered next day.

there are a couple of used ones on MPB at just under £800

They often go for around £750 if you get in quick.
