2nd shooter/assistant

Well my efforts of pestering local togs has paid off and a very kind lady has offered to take me on as a 2nd shooter for a model shoot and a wedding at the end of the month ....words cant describe how excited i am....what im wondering is if anyone can offer me any advice on what to do etc etc??
Any hints and tips would be amazing,points of view from professional togs and from 2nd shooters would be great

relax and enjoy yourself if you are stuck ask the main tog thats what they are there for it is to gain confidence and experience they would of been the same one day too

Hi Mate,

I helped shoot a wedding a couple of months ago and i loved it. I was taking a lot of candid shots whilst the main photographer was doing his stuff. He was also sending people over to me for portraits too which was cool. Everything else he asked me i did it. This included grabbing his bag, finding people on the wedding list for various photos and so on. Relax and just do what is asked of you and you'll be fine. You won't be expected to know what you're doing. The lady will talk you though it.
