400D file names

I've noticed recently that when transferring pics from camera to PC the file name has changed from when i first got the camera, the file names were being saved as IMG_123 etc, but now its has changed and i don't think i've done anything, the file names are now saved as _MG_123 (doesn't matter if raw or jpeg) it doesn't appear to effect the images themselves just the naming.

Has anyone else seen this, how can it be reset back to correct filename and what caused it to do this in the first place ?

You've taken over 9999 pictures, so it drops the "I" to make unique filenames and starts counting again.

If the image is shot with Adobe RGB colour space the filename begins with an underscore

Oh really. Seems my guess was way off then.

hmm that makes more sense, as i've not taken over 9999 pictures with it yet,
but i did recently set it to Adobe RGB, will try setting back and see if it reverts back etc.
