Living so close to a vast expanse of reed beds and water, I thought I'd have a wander to see what I could snap- with the Sigma 105mm f2.8- very stiff breeze and not too bright today- still you do what you can

heres the best 5 ( out of around 30 lol)

No idea what they are, so any information is welcome

BG was a stone wall and I thought if I lightened it I would loose detail on the insect, with it being very pale

Lightening the shadows a bit brings out the highlights of the wings nicely.

Around 4 hours, wandering through Reed beds, water, fields, over walls, through bridges not to mention the drive there and back Gaz

But worth it I feel

#1 isn't a Common Blue Damselfy, its the very rare Variable Damselfly. Look at the black markings on the first abdominal segment, and I'm afraid there is no such things as a Blue Damselfly, as #3 is a Red-eyed Damselfly. I would very much like to know where abouits #1 was taken as it is an extremely rare Damselfly.
