5D MKII - Underexposing - Is this normal?

I have used the 5D MKII with both the 50/1.4 and the 24070/2.8 - On both these lens the histogram has been very much to the left and showing that the shots are under exposed. To this end I have dialled in +2/3rd and the histograms look much better now.

I have used evaluative and centre spot metering and there is no discernible difference.

I have taken some portraits, still life and landscape type shots and all have had the same issue.

I think I may have read somewhere that 5D's have a tendancy to under expose - Is this right or did I dream it?

Yep, mine was always like that and if you remember you started a thread in early 2009 where this was discussed at some length!
