I'm still at a loss keep comparing the cameras 6d has better IQ and ISO but 7d better AF and is a crop so no need to get rid of the ef-s lens

---- Now here is a question has anyone reversed a 18-55 efs lens on a FF (6d) does it work does it fill the sensor?

I have been using one for my macro shots, they adjust every 45 degrees for the complete 360 turn.
The diopter is adjustable & of course doesn't effect the lenses focus.
It (if new) comes with both round & square adapters for all EOS cameras.
Have 1.25 & 2.5 magnification & when viewed image are the correct way up.
I paid £85 for mine November last year.

Maybe not quite as good as a tilting screen but would mean you don't have to worry if the camera doesn't have a tilting screen.
Oh & the image is crystal clear viewing through the angle finder.

Have you considered a Sony A7 II or A7R ??? Can get adapter for your canon lens

Also if you crop the 6d images to match the 7d mk II your image will be 12.5MP rather than 20MP something else to consider....

I think for me the 7d mkII or Sony is the way to go.

Even at 12mp the 6d image will still probably contain more useable detail, and be sharper than the 7dii image, especially above 400 ISO.

And tbh you generally won't be cropping macro images, it's not as if you can't get close enough!! :)

ChrisA you are missing the point which is if you don't have a tilt screen you still have too crook your neck. Live view or not!

I will stick with a Canon - lenses I have are for it. Too costly to abandon them (not just macro - I have a 300mm as well ) - not a fan of adapting to another system.

But you won't be able to blow up the image as much so potential (not likely) sellability may be affected.

Most Macro shots don't need cropping you are correct but some do and especially if your not a master at composition (another side issue)
