I don't know about the 400d batteries, but I think 7dayshot normally do the pair of BP511's for £10. I've had a couple of batches of these now and they're the bees knees - last for ages and haven't caused me any problems at all with the camera.

Fabulous! I'd say an absolutely essential item for your kit bag, unless you spend all of your time in a studio, these things will work in places where your usual tripod is useless, plus they're cheap and extremely portable.
