Afterwards, Scordle found 9 possible words after my second guess, but 8 of them are far too obscure to be solutions. I had stumbled on one of these 8 in my third guess (trying various plausible combinations of letters I wanted to test until it accepted one as a valid word), which narrowed it down enough to find the much more common word I had missed.

Can't remember which one it was, but sometime last week I had total blank on first and 1y on second, with all those letters cancelled I could see the word almost in the remaining letters, took the chance and got it in 3.
