A couple from this morning..

This morning I was lucky enough to spend a couple of hours shooting in the garden of Brian Valentine aka Lordv who kindly offered to let me pop round. It was a pleasure to be able to watch the guy in action and pick up a few tips

Ok so I still need an lot of practise, but I am quite pleased with these..

Focus not quite there on these, but well exposed.

I think the comment on focus is related to the first one, where the focus is sharp on the wings, but not so much on the eyes - a photo will nearly always look out of focus if the eyes aren't sharp. Also - #1 has cut off the (lovely and sharp) wing at the bottom.

#2 however is great - lovely and sharp Only minor aside is that I think the left of the picture could be cropped a little tighter? :shrug:

Still, two great shots - good job!
