Hi all,
I'm hoping to buy the Canon HF200 camcorder in the near future and have a few questions.
1. I have seen a shop on ebay (digigood) selling the camera along with an 8gb SDHC memory card for a fraction under £400, yet elsewhere it is going for £500+.
This company only offers a 90 day warranty however after emailing them they offered to extend the warranty to 12 months, however it apparently doesnt include a manufacturers warranty so is simply a warranty of their own making. They are a USA import company with their stock in the UK ready for dispatch, however it means the camcorder is the Vixia model (US version) rather than the Legria (UK version). They did state that it comes with the necessary power adapters though.
I never really like the idea of imports cause I'd rather have the peace of mind knowing that my product is from this country, with proper a manufacturer warranty. I really believe that 'you get what you pay for' so am worried as to whether or not I might have any trouble with an import. However, the company in question has over 100,000 (yes one hundred thousand) feedback, at 97% so would it be a risk worth taking?
2. Does very high altitude (particularly the cold at such altitudes) have a huge effect on battery life?
Thanks in advance
