A day at the zoo - Tigers, vultures and more!!

Went to Chester Zoo this week. First time I had ever taken a camera to a zoo, never mind a DSLR that I am still trying to figure out!!

I am quite pleased with some of the results I got, also disapointed with some. But hopefully I will learn and realise where I went wrong. Any comments on these would be helpful in my learning curve.

Pink Flamingo, I just managed to get it as the eye came out of the water.

The colours on this Reticulated Python were fantastic.

I spent ages with this next one. They proved a lot more photogenic than I thought.

Then on to the tiger. My wife could have spent all day here.
I am impressed with my little self with this one. As the fences are a bugger!

I had to post this last one, even though the fence is visible. It is the look on it's face, measuring me up for a snack!!

first tiger and the vultures are good, although the vultures are a little dark, a little tweak in ps will cure that though, the fencing is such a pain in the bum really isnt it

Seeing the teeth on those buggers the other day I'm not sure the fence is enough!

I think you've done well! As already mentioned, the vulture shots could do with a little lighten in PS, but they are my faves.
