Few weeks back I went to SWPP show with a couple of pro tog friends. Take turns in driving there. Any way in the car we were chatting and the subject of the funniest thing or disaster at a wedding we were working at came up.

I was just looking at a togs website and a shot reminded me of this.

My friend was shooting a wedding. Large affair by the way he discribed it.

And as usual there was an English bloke who's Grandad 8 times removed was meant tobe Scottish. so he wore a kilt. So the usual questions of 'Is he or Isn't he?' were coming out... all was to be revealed.

Now the friend does a lot of fun and whacky shots and this day was no different.

The Groom knealed down and the bride sat on his knee.... Few shots were taken.
Laughter ensued, then the idea came up that the best man sit on the Brides knee. (Best man is chap in kilt) so the Bestman agreed and with great haste sat on the Brides knee. Guests are laughing and watching. When the shots were finished the best man rose when there was a loud 'whoaaaaaa!!!' then silence from all the onlookers.

The best man turned to look back at the bride and to his horror saw that he had left a large SKID mark on her dress where he once sat.

The truth was out..... He wasn't!

Sorry but I p*ss*d my self laughing. what disasters have you guys come across?

I had a mate that used to shoot weddings and he told me a story of how he crouched down for a shot near enough start of the day and he heard his trousers go.

So he checks them first chance he gets, small split as he thought, nothing to worry about.

Bit further into the day, crouches low again, feels them go a bit more, nothing he can do at this stage though so carries on.

10 mins or so later, he wants another low shot, gets down and feels trousers go from front to back.

This is still only halfway through the day, he had no spare trousers with him so just had to carry on, bizarrely he said nobody laughed, i'd love to know how many guests got behind him to get their own photos though.

I've come close to knocking the flower stands over a few times in one of our regular venues, they are on the small stage area and a bit dicky (top heavy) my oppo did knock one off one day and the video guy got the other one.
