A Macro of a real Banksi

A fairly common medium sized beetle called Chrysolina banksi.
Shots taken with the 350d and mp-e 65with the MT-24ex twin lite.

Photopainter, I handhold all my macro shots as I find tripods are too slow and just get in the way.

Fantastic detail here, and really nice composition ideas. The subject looks really different close up . One suggestion from me is to try and work on the lighting a little bit more. It seems a little too dull for my liking, however that's just my personal opinion and taste.
