:D

Love the 400mm f2.8 - can't see the bank giving me a loan for that somehow!

Where's the nail file? the packed lunch? swiss army knife with compass and cork screw attachments? and where the hell is the thermos!!

Bah, and that guy calls himself a professional?

I've never hated someone so much but at the same time want to be that person :D

So that's where my lost luggage ended up then...:suspect::bat:

Lovely kit, although I would need a small army to help me move it around.

Tbh his kit isn't that much different to a lot of people on here apart from the 400 2.8 VR, its the stuff you don't see that sets him apart. Hes most probably got thousands of pounds worth of lighting equipment (bowen)

You 'think' you have the 400 2.8??? How do you only think you have a £7,000 lens? Is there a chance it's maybe just an old toilet roll painted black?

Hmmm, I'm really not sure

bah humbug

tools of the trade, you get what you need.

when you do this stuff for a living your jobs pay for your tools. and if you need more tools you charge more!

however i do it just for a hobby and cant justify the 4k ive already spent, appart from i love taking photos

Did I just read the small print correctly at the end of the movie? All the video was shot on a D90?

He seems to rate the D90 highly, what does everyone else think of it, is it as good as he says.

Looks like it. Also looks like the video had some vertical sync issues, though it does seem heavily compressed.

Realistically, there's what, £25k total there? £20k of equipment, £5k of lighting, cases, etc.

That's not very much capital for an actual business.

Awesome!
Although, for a living, and for your job, that's what I'd expect.

That's like saying "Blimey! Lewis Hamilton's F1 car is a lot of money! I wish I could have a car like that!" if you're a racing enthusiast.
To everyone else, it's just taken for granted.

If I showed that to my mum, she'd be like "Cool, he's got lots of camera stuff."
To me it's like *cue Lonely Island - Jizz in my pants*

Mine would be like "Wow, you can videos on those commuterputer things?" :p

Well once I had explained that you can indeed watch videos on the commuterputer thing, I'm sure her response would be an unenthusiastic but humouring "Oh, wow, camoorahs." Shortly followed by "can you find videos of shoes?"
