Back on the original question, if you feel you can't justify a 2nd 5D3, how about a 6D? It lacks a CF card and the control pad is flimsy, but it's a great camera IQ-wise and much cheaper than a 5D3.
It's funny I asked once if the e-mount was good enough for professional use and I got loads of flak about how the equipment doesn't matter. It's the photographer that matters.. Etc..
Will I produce 'less impressive' images with a zeiss 85 1.8 than the canon?

I think photographer get a bit mulled up it's what you use your camera for,say for instant you were working as an pro and taking your camera all over the place,working in all condition for that I would like to have me a good pro body,that could take the stick you might give it
