AAARGH! missed oportunity!!

There I was driving about with my camera ready in the footwell of my car. Ahead was a heron sitting on a branch as if posing. with the water behind it it looked perfect. Only problem was that I was on a one track road with no turning spaces which goes halfway round a reservoir and just couldnt stop!!!! drat and double drat!

Yep, and the only time my camera bag has been in the boot in living memory was last week as I turned the corner of our lane to find a buzzard sat perfectly in the oak tree by the roadside. Yep, reversed back up to the corner, rescued kit, back down...two average shots before he flapped off...and no it's not somewhere you can stop for more than a minute or two.

Luckily we have quite a few around here. If it would stop raining...
