Went back to the flowers for today's one. Got the isolating background in camera using an off camera flash and a very small aperture. Other ambient light came from the dining room ceiling light.
I took this portrait of my little princess. She was swearing her Spanish costume to school for Spanish week. She sung incey Wincey Spider in Spanish in school assembly!
Captured the Polar Prince, a survey Ship, docked at the Liverpool Cruise Terminal tonight. I loved the colourful lights reflected in the dark waters of the Mersey.
Thought I'd try a little abstract photography. Mainly because I'm working from home today and won't get the chance to pop out and take some outdoor shots. Secondly I was wanting to test and try my new yongnuo 560ii flash in slave mode with my Fujifilm XF1!
#34 is beautiful. Surreal, like it's taking you away from the hustle and bustle of the busy seaside town background.
The straws are really effective too.
I like this, and then I dont and then i like it again lol.
I think the white space on the left puts me off, but overall I think it's a great shot, i love the dof but the warm colours in the lens and coming out is great.
I like the high contrast mac shot, great angle too. Not sure about Buzz, the colours look odd to me.
As for getting a shot a day on the day, I find thats its not always doable, especially if im on a 12 hour shift, so I wont put myself under pressure and sometimes need a catchup.
I think last year i was too strict on myself and thats why i didnt finish.
Yeah think it's a fine balance of trying when possible to take a photo a day, but not putting the pressure on to impact on actually making it to the end of the year. I think as the year goes on I might collect a little set of library images to ease the pressure! ;-) .......but don't tell anyone! ;-)
I really love the phone box image great stuff. Sometimes if I gave got things to do or can't get in the right frame of my mind for processing my images I sometime will do a catch up of about 3 or 4 days to give me time to do some other things. I am still living taking a picture every day as it gives me something to do and think about.
