i am going to a fireworks display tomorrow night and i would like some advice on settings ect for getting some nice photo's of the people ect. not really interested in the fireworks. there will a fun fair there but no fire.

i have ps3 and have never shot in raw before should i? and would i need a convertor? also if i did would i need to do alot of pp afterwards aas i am very limited in how to do it.

thank you so much in advance

well not gong now as it is p'ing down and hubby is at work. but thanks for the advice

Hi Gumbo - might be worth the trip even in the rain!!

I am going to shoot a display on Sat and its my first time too, the advice I was given was around framing my shot carefully, making sure I was upwind or head on to the display of the smoke drift may interfere with the shots.

I was planning tripod, long exposure (bulb), bit of black card in between bursts and remote release.

The results will either be great or terrible but I am looking forward to it anyway!!!

Can't help with the processing I'm afraid, I use raw and import into Adobe Lightroom which seems to handle it fine.

B Rgds
