Advice needed thinking of upgrading to Windows 7

Lets say your PSU failed, and send a surge through your system. Both drives would most likely be dead. As said above, RAID wouldnt help you in case of fire (extreme example), or theft. RAID won't protect you from user error either. Always keep a backup of your most important stuff on a separate storage device off site, in the cloud, or both. Amazon S3 is very affordable for your most important stuff.

You could slap Microsoft Outlook on there. Even Outlook 2007 doesn't have that horrible ribbon thing they introduced with the other office 2007 apps so it's almost usable.
