I'm after a decent camera but as a beginner, can't justify the £400+ that a new, up to date Canon or equivalent would cost.
The camera will mostly be used for portraits and for taking pictures of my cars. What I miss on my existing digital compact (and obviously on my phone's camera) is the ability to set aperture priority for shots to give a shallow depth of field.
Ideally I'd like to spend no more than £200 so I'm looking for advice on where to buy. I posted on one of my car forums and was directed here as apparently you have a For Sale section. Until now I've been keeping an eye on eBay but am always a bit wary buying (reasonably expensive) gadgetry on there. I also posted in this site's Welcome section but was told I'd get more "action" here ...
I've been looking at Canon 350Ds but am open to other suggestions.
Any tips and advice gratefully received ...
