had a brilliant day on saturday at sunderland , took over a thousand photos and to be honest pretty much the best i got was this

i have loads more to go through but i had hoped for a bit better , or am i being too critical of a 1000D and 70-300 IS USM :)

No, I think for the kit its very good...but then again the hardcore bunch will tell you its nowt to do with the kit and all to do with the person behind it...

You usually find the people like this have 400mm prime lenses and canon 1/5D's!!

thanks , and i reckon the comment was right , there was loads of big stuff there  :D

Enjoy you`re hobby !. Stop worrying about others . Thats a good shot mate .It shows the rotor blade movement so the shutter speed was good for this .I`d have to pull summat out the top hat to keep up with some people but until then i`ll still enjoy what they put up . We`re in a learning curve so enjoy what you`ve got . Nicer to have a nice kit that does the job than a nicer still pic and a massive overdraft ? . It`s about what you have and you`re foresight . Show some more .and thanks for sharing.

i have to say i like the image, ive got the same camera and currently looking for a new lens, a zoom style and it helps to see images like this as i can tell how the lens will perfom before possibly wasting money on something i would not be happy with...

good shot

Looks fine to me. Wait til you see mine... they're a load of pinpricks against this sea (well, sky actually) of grey. As said, there's some blur in the rotor blades, the body of the 'copter is nicely exposed and sharp. Looks a winner to me!
