Is part of the problem the lenses?

Interestingly enough, a lot of the blurb I get delivered to my inbox every day from various retailers seems to say that the 70-200 IS II will "work better with the new advanced AF algorithms found in the 7D and 1DmkIV"

Does this mean that the problem is not with the body, but with the way lens acts upon the AF information it's being given?!?

Just thought i'd put that out there...if that is the case, then it could be impossibly expensive to change over...I've got a 400L IS and i'm damned if i'll spend another amount of money like that just so it works with a mkIV.
