On 24th April I started my attempt to complete a 365 using instant film. I waited while spring to start so I have a little bit more daylight to work than in January, which I hope will give me at least a fighting chance of completing the first couple of months. I wasn't going to post the images but I reckon I will need all the motivation possible. Lets see how far I get.

This being an absolute brilliant idea for a project, I do
believe, how ever, that the softness of the DR, focus and
colours require, all together, that you find
subjects the
will fit the limitations of the emulsion
without sacrificing
the story telling and the exclusive graphic approach allowed
by the medium.

You've got a great quest ahead of you. Martin, surprise us!

Are all these SOOS (straight out of scanner), Martin?

Why are some frames blue?

Hi,
I scan them using the Impossible Project app on my phone. All the frames are white but probably look a little different depending on the light I scanned them in.

Thanks

Day 12 and 25 share the same subject that
fits well IMO.

Less colours, less focus requirements, more
large and graphic elements seem to bring it
up together.

Keep rocking!

So that's that. I made it to day 33, which is quite rubbish I must admit. I enjoyed it, but also found it burdensome, and if I'm honest, quite relived to call it a day. I learnt a few things along the way. Like how difficult it is to complete one of these things and how much I enjoy shooting instant film. I also learnt a lot about how the film and cameras behave. So not a complete waste of time.

Thanks to anyone who stopped by to look.

i feel this has been a great journey for you the photographer and us the viewer. the differing exposures make the scene instantly compelling for me. I've been wanting to do a similar project using my daughters fuji instant camera. your project has given me an idea of the extent and limitation of media.

brilliant collection of images. i started a 4th 365 (3rd failed shhhh), and am keeping it going in the background
