I am picking up my first android phone today and was wondering what apps fellow android users would recommend are worth a look at.

BatteryTime Lite - Shows you battery % at the top
BBC News
BeebPlayer - BBC iplayer on the phone!
Bubble - spirit level for your phone!
CallFilter - very useful
Compass
ES File Explorer - Because Android doesn't come with one
Google Goggles - because it's kind of cool!
Google Sky Map - A must for showing your phone off!!
Metal Detector - Another for showing off
Robo Defense - Best game on Android!
Thesaurus
Urbanspoon - Find somewhere good to eat!
Where's My Droid - Could come in verrrry useful!
 
There is an android apps thread on here as well as the iPhone one, add these to that thread.
 
Well I didnt get to pick up my android phone today, for the second week running O2 have failed to keep there promise of getting the phone I want. :shake:

demand for them is so high, that it is hard to get them anywhere :)
o2 is not the only one :)
