Beginner Any photographers near Harpenden willing to buddy with an amateur

hi based near Harpenden/St Albansa and Dunstable areas. Would like to buddy up with others to learn and correct my mistakes.

I'm using a Canon 650D and want to learn composure and lighting /exposure. Usually free weekends

Well I'm nowhere near Harpenden, but in the absence of any other replies you might like to keep an eye on the meeting forum and join in on a group meet when there is one near by. People are generally friendly and happy to help out less experienced folk.
