Anyone done a Wex photography event?

Has anyone on here done a Wex photography event at all? In particular the landscape one? Signed myself up for it so hopefully I'll learn something.

Just wondering what to expect. Been told there is lots of walking so thinking my travel tripod would be better than my Manfrotto 190??
