Anyone else use 500px?

i don't use it as much as i possibly should although i have put a couple of shots on there this year. there are a lot of very good photgraphers on there, its nice just to have a browse on there when you need some inspiration (y)

I really would like to know how to post pics from 500px onto forums, inc this one.. I have tried but just can't get it to work, can anybody help...?

I've been a plus account member for a few months now. It's a great site. it seems to have a good collection of members and everyone's very supportive with feedback. (although no-one ever seems to offer advice or critique's)

Feel free to follow me and have a look at my work

Signed up a year ago, bought the full account but later found out about the upload limit they have. Is it still there or have they changed the limit? I prefer batch uploads

It's still there - 20 images/week.

Does anyone know if you need to upload images twice (with and without watermarks, larger etc) to show them on the usual site and sell them through the prime outlet?

Just signed up and tried upgrading but the pay now button doesn't work.

Anyone else had a similar issue recently?

I use it. I like the way people can like and fab your photos. It has its downfalls like no albums unless you pay, but I do like the copyright thingy so people can't save your pics. Its a shamed you can't share your pics and keep the cr facility... and that its a lot of messing to share your pics on forums.

I managed to upgrade just fine last week (just before they put the discount up. Yay!).

You can actually get the URL with less fuss than delving into the page source, by clicking the embed button (above the mail button in the share section) and pulling the URL from there.

Just pull the URL from the second line:

<p><img src="http://ppcdn.500px.org/74220911/98c828364ce9febc1554b90fe61b5abda30b5fb3/4.jpg"

This is from one of mine, so the actual URL is from http:// to .jpg (the forum has parsed the link here so you can see exactly what piece to extract). Still not very intuitive but it appears to work fine.

I might be missing the obvious but how do you bulk edit titles, tags, etc?
I don't think it has a bulk editor. If you bulk upload it carries the data from the previous picture to the current one so if you consider that in your workflow it makes things a little easier.

Thank you. However that's what I've been doing (although someone else in this thread did ask so your post will help them). But its still a bit of messing around compared to Photobuckets one click. Also if you want to then do the same for the next photo you have to refresh the page because by just clicking to the next photo the image address doesnt come up in the mail button link.

It is a shame that by doing it this way you loose the anti copy facitlity. Although there was a post a while ago and a TP member got around this, although he didnt mention how. I assume it was from the page code??

I also find 500px a good way to find out if photos are any good or not because of the likes etc. I have put photos on here that I've not had much or any feedback, but if it does well on 500px then its one to print for critique at the camera club. It's also a good way if you have to narrow down to a number of photos to take and cant decide.
