Anyone had dealings with vanguard?

My trusty vanguard tripods head randomly decided to snap clean in half the other week.
It came with a manufacturer lifetime warranty, so popped an email across to customer support and was quickly replied too asking for an address so they could send a courier out to collect, they then went on to say if it couldn't be repaired it would be replaced at no cost.
Great I thought to myself and as said the next day DHL came and took it away....... That was 3 weeks ago, so centre then I have sent 4 ignored emails to chase up progress, yesterday I decided to call, the person who answered was rude and arrogant and explained they have an extremely high level of repairs and I would jut have to wait and be patient. And couldn't give me any sort of eta.
I was wondering if any of expected on here has had a similar experience with them, and if so how long did they keep you waiting for?
