Aperture is giving me the runaround right now.

I've got my images backed up to an external USB drive using an Aperture Vault. (I'm running Snow Leopard)

This morning I've deleted masses of images from my library (nearly 2000 in total) When I try to update my Vault, I get an error message stating that my drive does not have enough space to hold my library.

The library is 146.66GB. Disc Utility shows the external drive is 250.06GB of which 232.56GB has been used.

I've gone into my Vault and removed all the previously deleted files.

It seems odd that its showing the library to be 232.56GB when its actually 146.66GB.

Gary, you're a star. Worked a treat.

That said, I'm still mystified. I'd emptied my Trash and done a restart. I'd dumped the contents of the Deleted file that was sat on the backup drive and yet as when I did as you suggested, the trash bin was full of old images again. Very odd but it worked a treat so thank you again.
