APPLE A1012 65 watt white power adapter ?

Help please ? has anyone attempted to repair the laptop plug on one of these adapters (the round jack plug thing) on a apple g4 powerbook.
This one is starting to cut out if i wobble the cable. (it just needs chopping off and re-soldering)
Alternatively a reputable cheap alternative in the uk.

I had a third party replacement charger on my G3 iBook and that is still going stong...

How old is it ? My sons Macbook one did this and eventually melted through the cable. It was under a year old and Apple replaced it free of charge. If you google the fault you will get quite a few results with this fault.

If the adapter is less then a year old apple will replace it. (on my 3rd for my MacBookPro) If its older then that I would suggest replacing it with either a new apple one or a 3rd party equivalent.
