I have been reading on another thread about EF-S lenses not working on 1000D.

Can you tell me...is EF-S the same as an EFS lens?
 
EF-S lenses will work on a 1000D

EFS is simply EF-S from some who's keyboard has lost the -

I thought I was going mad...someone saying the EF-S won't work on the 1000D, *** I have one, and it does!!:thumbs:

Or it could be the EOS1000 they were talking about, which is a film camera, rather than a digital, and is therefore full-frame, and needs a EF lens.
 
Ef-S lenses are for small sensor Canon DSLRs like the 1000d and won't work correctly on the full frame cameras such as the 5D so forward planning is a good idea.
