I was thinking about going. I have had a look at the web and there is very little info on it at all. It is through the same gate as HMS Victory and I believe you can take cameras there so maybe.

I took some shots of HMS Newcastle just before she was decommissioned, when I asked I if I could I was told yes, but check with your guide at every stage. The only places I couldn't shoot was the battle command room and somewhere else packed full of radar screens and stuff.

yeah ive just been looking on the bbc website at pictures of todays opening and there are clearly people walking round with cameras

so im gonna take mine and see what happens

oggy u should go mate its the last chance

Too late now but didn't get stopped taken all my camera gear on :) only thing was the wait to get on the ship getting to the harbor for 9:30 wasn't early enough :(.

I saw on the news that the queues reached over half a mile long.
Plenty of people wandering about with various forms of camera gear, from what i saw.
Cant wait to see some shots if you choose to share them

I was fortunate to be allowed on board the Ark Royal when she visited the Tyne in November.
We were allowed through the hanger and onto the flight deck
If the OP does not mind I will share a couple with you
