Art Deco/Nouveau (an open thread) Streamline, Modernist, Bauhaus too

I like your photograph, but not the subject.
What possessed them to fit that front door?

Hi, many owners of Art Nouveau houses cannot afford real craftsmen to keep their property in its original state. Others want to make their building look more modern.

The building in the pic is on a busy road. I suppose, the owner does not live there, and did not want to spend more than necessary on a new front door for the tenants ...

This pic shows the beautiful roof, but also the rotting timber ... Art Nouveau (Jugendtil) houses are beautiful, and expensive to maintain ...---
