As a recovering Gas addict i found this Ted Forbes video helpful

Ted Forbes is a Cool dude. He talks about you know the art and no all the gear BS stuff you get on most other channels.
 
Lol, maybe i'm suffering from GAS but i read "video fro ffordes" in your title! I thought, maybe you found a cheap way to have GAS!
 
Just watch it and while i understand that you can get good results from most modern camera. But his advice are not that good really: "to have a sharper image just stop your lens down has much as you can and so everything will be in focus..."

That a bit simplistic really, maybe keeping a shutter speed fast enough for the situation is a good advice too?
 
The idea that using shallow depth of field is a 'ninja move' makes me think he's talking to smartphone photographers (but don't take me too literally on that). I don't think there's anything in that video for anyone beyond basic beginner level of experience - nothing wrong with that, but it's not going to help with a bad case of GAS.

TBH I found it really irritating.
