Made my yearly visit to Ashridge this morning before the clouds and rain arrived to get a few shots of the amazing display in Dockey Woods.

The square works better - the branch with the green leaves adds a lot more interest to this scene and the extra detail on the tree branches is welcome.

I like both, but agree with Steve that the square image is the best. Wish we had bluebells to this quality around here.

I prefer the first image. The 2nd just looks very flat - with none of the depth of the 1st one

like the depth of colours
i went to my local bluebell woods and found those green leaf trees were in close attendance as well

I rarely print any of my pics, but I have a large print on the wall from this location - its possibly one of the best in the country for Bluebells.

Im with the others on yours though, I think the square just works better.

I personally like the first over the second, but only because the OOF leaves in 2 on the left distract for me. It's a tiny little thing, as I do like no 2 otherwise!

Really stunning colours. Both are excellent images but I feel the square crop is the best of the two!!
