Once again I'm wondering if I could have some of your invaluable feedback please.

Had my friend over just for some informal shots, just an excuse to get the lights out to be honest. First time using the black background, and though the shot would look better in B&W which is totally beyond my skill at the minute to be honest.

Lit with one flash, shoot through umbrella.

I know the forehead needs fixing but any other critique?

Oh, I have also recently calibrated my monitor, so if it looks like it has a cast or anything at your end please let me know :)

Two parts in picture making:
  1. Prior to SR
  2. PP
Given your info, the prior to SR seems very good.

Things start hurting in PP
  • no whites nor blacks
  • metallic greys skin tones
Else than that, I think opting for another strategy
in PP would do wonders cause the basic data is
all there!


I would be curious to get my hands on the RAW!
