Yes
...and without realizing, Ive done 45GB of RAW files in 3 days. Is that alot? :D

you must have taken eleventy million photos!!!

Look forward to see some of them too btw, if you ever get round to processing them. :D

Nah he's shooting a 7D and the RAW files are HEWMUNGUS so I bet he only shot half a dozen photos

That's a fair amount, have you got a bit of reptitive strain injury on the trigger finger? :)

Please tell me it was more exciting to watch there than it was on the TV here? Must have been one of the least interesting races I've seen in a while.

Looking forward to seeing some shots ...

Not really.
I've done 25Gb in a day's shooting before now...and a GP would probably count as one of 'those' jobs where you'd shoot more than the average number of frames.

i bet 44.9GB were of the pit lane girls!! :naughty:

ha ha ha :) great comments :) yeah i will post some up when I get round to editing them (have to be oober nice to the wife for letting me go lol)

i also did do some video filming with it too, so thats taken up nearly 1gb lol

yes the race was good to see, most of the overtaking, sennas car exploding and the contact after first corner was all infront of me, so it was better than the TV version (which I have watched and it was dull lol)

I watched an Andy Rouse wildlife prog a couple of years ago, I can't remember how much space he shot, but he filled every card he took, his portable storage device, his laptop, the laptop of the guy doing the filming and he even borrowed another from one of the guests on the trip too

And he shoots jpegs, so how many could that have been

Probably got a couple of keepers though :D

DD

on telly, very. At the track, it can never be dull hearing the engines!

It's on my list of things to do. I've been to the Renault World Series a couple of times and the noise is fantastic.

Let's just hope they sort it out and make the races more TV friendly.

latest is that bernie will give it till after china (before the 3 week break and europe) to see how it goes. think if its still bad then he will mix it up a little!

you must go to a gp if your a fan, costly yes, but pure amazing! Silverstone is already paid for lol

Probably because he only had 128Mb cards...lol
It wasn't all that long ago that a 512Mb card was the biggest we had...

i remember many many years ago, I got a pc with a 1gb hard drive, and thought "what could i possibly do with that" .....

cant wait to see what technology holds for the future, 500tb drives?? :)

haha...I watched Apollo-13 last night - Tom Hanks was conducting a tour of the rocket-shed at Cape Kennedy (as it then was) and said the phrase: "Nasa has the technology at it's disposal to do this - even computers that fit into a single room..."
Apparently the chip in your cell-phone is more powerful and has more memory than the computer that ran the Apollo spacecraft...lol

When it comes to drive space I just think back to my first PC with its 30mb hard drive, I was constantly copying stuff to floppy and copying it back. I was good I could get duke nukem on the thing (25mb) and DOS 6.22 so life was good. my word processor app would run off a floppy disk

I took 4 x 16Gb cards and 8 x 4Gb cards for a two week trip to Sri Lanka last year and managed to fill them, and the backup device.:D

For anything over two days, I'd take a laptop to edit the images as I went...
I wouldn't be at all happy at having them just sat on the cards inside the camera...
