Good afternoon
i just begin going through my images and found that i have too many i back them up on a serperate hard drive as well as main one ,
they all are dated as they come off the camera
but tthere are so many is there a programme on the market that say if you have loads of images they will just sort them ???
or how should i file them, i seem to be getting in a bit of a mess :bang:
what do you all do to sort images ?

If I were you I'd check out Lightroom, if you haven't tried it already. You're going to need something like that anyway if you plan to act on your aspirations to make money from your hobby :thumbs:

Lightroom is like a slimmed-down and rationalised version of PS specifically for photographers (there's so much stuff in PS that a photographer won't ever use). It also allows you to manage your collection and edit your pictures through the same interface, whereas you need to use Adobe Bridge with PS in order for you to organise your pictures (PS is an image editor, not an organiser). In my view, LR is the best one-stop package for photographers.

good stuff thanks ill get that :thumbs::wave:

I completely agree with Nifkin, LR is a great package for photographers and I can't imagine life without it and in many cases (depending on your needs) can completely replace PS.

However to make sure it's what you're looking for you could check out the 30-day trial on the Adobe website.

Lightroom 3 is about to be launched
We hope! :)

On past performance, Adobe would offer a 90-day upgrade to customers buying LR2 - but given when we don't quite know when LR3 will be out, it would be just your luck if it was 91 days from now. :)

So ye, I'd stick with the 30 day trial to see if things are clearer at the end of April.

good stuff superb I have been online looking and yes looks like just what i need thanks again ,i think i will wait untill new one comes out as you said
:thumbs::clap::clap::clap::clap::clap:
