Due to defence cuts all military personal will now adopt the new salute. Instead of using your whole hand, the new cheaper 2-finger salute will be used.

Another happy camper. Was going to comment on your Flickr about the civvy in the fetching pink scarf but you've got comments turned off. It's a very nice shade of pink.

Aye, I posted a comment on one from same set a few days ago, so comments working ok

as to the two-fingered salute of a crappy day...aye aye sir :D

Nope, still can't comment.

Have a look at

You Account>Privacy & Permissions>Defaults for new uploads>Who will be able to see, comment on, add notes, or add people

You might have it set to family only or just you or something.

The one with the posh porn is funny and the dog handler pics are nice too.

Had it set to 'My Contacts' - have now re-set to it to 'everyone'

why... are you not a contact...? and if not, why not...?:cautious:

I've got you set as a contact by you may not have reciprocated my gesture. I understand. I wouldn't want my dross cropping up on your home page either.:crying::dummy:

I thought it added you automatically - taken care of now, I think...lol

Why thankyou kind sir but be prepared to be inundated with a trickle of mediocrity.

Stay safe.

Nice one,.

Perhaps he is saying he would like 2 prints of this.

You took that too early, he was just about to throw another finger up and big up his Westsiiiiiiiiiide posse.

Aerodynamic, that is...
Helps me to look Rugged and Windswept...lol

Careful with that photo, Rob will be up before the willy watchers urinating in a bottle before he knows it;)

showphoto.php
[/IMG]perhaps this will make him happy...have a spliffing christmas :nono:

Now technically the spliff would be OOF at the lit end due to DOF issues and ........... only kidding

I think the adaptation improves the image no end if only by partially obscuring the ugly 'boat race' in the original :p

That's not mine - it's Dave's lol - I'll have a word with him...RAF see?

And whats wrong with RAF?????, lol, us RAF wives are ok though.......aren't we???? :)

Oh dear, Nicci, Nicci, Nicci...
How long have you got?

Yes, RAF wives are great, especially when their husbands are away on Tour!!!
Sorry - but you knew that was coming!

Having served for 30 years I can safely say that aside from a very few RAF people that I've had the pleasure of working alongside, the RAF, as an entity could be safely Privatised and show a significant improvement.
The 'sharp' end of things being split between the Army Air Corps and Fleet Air Arm...
Recent and proposed swageing cut-backs in RAF Operational capability mean this scenario may not be far from happening in any case - it's certainly the fave topic here when inter-service rivalries come up in the NAAFI...

My old SO3 at Uxbridge was an RAF Flt Lt and he cheerfully admitted that prior to that posting he'd have defended his service to the hilt, but after experiencing the chaotic shambles that is the MovCon at Brize Norton once too often, even he agreed that the whole show could be run by a civvy ex-airport manager from Prestwick.

I remember once coming back from Kosovo and waiting for the luggage pallets to be unloaded...we waited...and waited...and waited...
Eventually a chap beside me at the window said "That is the aircraft we flew in on isn't it?" meaning the one with no-one working on it out on the pan...
I looked at my watch: 17.30, and jokingly said "Ahh they'll all be at scoff!"
The chap - an RAF Group-Captain, walked over to the poor Corporal on the desk and had a word...then another word...then started shouting quite loudly...
Three minutes later, the ground crew were seen running across the tarmac, literally stuffing burgers into their mouths!

How's the weather in Anglesey BTW?

lol, my hubby had to book his own flights on 30th Nov from LKG because they forgot to book them and he was due bk on the 1st Dec haha.

You gotta love the RAF hehehehehe.

Its bloody cold here, had a couple of flurries of snow yesterday and taday so far had a bit of rain, so I am sat next to the radiator with a cup of tea, lol.

And I don't know what you mean about us RAF wives when the other halves are away..........we are good girls.......... :)

I have always had a keen interest in the RAF - Dad was / is an aircraftsman of some sort. Never met him but have a photo of him shooting from a helicopter with a big gun.

I tried a few years to track him down, but never worked.

Oooh! Can we talk about the RAF now? :D

I had the misfortune to serve half my 23 yrs with the RAF, or in Joint Service units or otherwise being administered by them. They tended to have better doctors and dentists than the Army and.... No, that's it. They're nothing but civil servants in saggy blue skin. Sorry, but that's the way it always was in my experience.

Disbanding the RFC was the highlight for the RAF. All downhill since then. :(

If you register with that group, Gary, then go to the Military Forum (almost exclusively serving and retired RAF) and tell them what you know about your father there is a good chance someone will PM you with details or tell you how to find out.
