Barn Owl Center meet images.

What a cutie if not a little grumpy! Lovely stare into the camera - shame about cropping the feet off. Nice capture though :)

Andy - thanks for a great day, was good to meet up there again - not sure my shots are any better than last time mind! :( Also thanks for arranging the day - was an excellent day and Vince was a laid back as ever :)

Anyway here's one of my first - Kaln landing.

Got alot of shots to get through so suspect this will take a while....

Thanks for organising the meeting Andy. Vince certainly provides a great day and I am tempted to go back again. I need to sort out my pictures to see if there are any in focus.

Yes as above cracking day. Got more out of focus as usuall. But hopefully have about a dozen decent shots. (decent to me) will post a bit later.

Just got back from the Motor racing & had a quick look at my Owl shots, the majority of them are carp ( I was using the Buzzard as practice for the Eagle Owl :()

A few which turned out OKish

Shame I didn't know about this meet :(

I'm going there this Friday :) shame I didn't get to go with TP but still looking forwards to it.

Any tips for when I go? What sort of Focal Length is worth taking?

Having been there a few times now I would say your 24-70 and 70-200 will cover just about every thing but may be worth chucking in the 1.4x just in case. I can also say you will have a great day, Vince the owner works hard to make sure of that, if there are any specific shots you fancy just tell him and he'll do his best to oblige.

Hi Andy,

Fantastic, I've been trolling the internet for images already :)

Any possibility of adding me to the mailing list for the next meet? :p

Looking forward to it now :) Shame my 70-200 is mega playing up and can't trust it :( So I might be stood at the back with the 300mm :p

Had a great day out and thanks to Vince and to Andy for organizing the meet. Here are a few of mine, would like some feedback if its not to critical lol.
Look bang on the money to me ,Martin, lovely and sharp, great colours.

Stunning shots there Chris, reckon you made the very best of a great opportunity. Knowing you, you probably have many more of equal quality from the day!
Those eagle owl shots are outstanding :)

great stuff everyone, love the little owl in the wall shots - some shots could be fooled to thinking they're wild, nice!

where's this place? might pop along next time!
