These two were taken this afternoon(Boxing Day) in the afternoon light.
Both birds spent quite a time just hanging about and at times dozing off much to my annoyance. In all took nearly 12gig of images and now I have to do some sorting out. :bang:

hello by the way and what a nice welcoming post this is..
 
well that was a present worth waiting for.
both are excellent but the 1st is eye poppingly brillant:eek:..

ive tryed many time with a barn owl that come close to my garden and over the field near to my house and i normaly have to use 1.4x tc .
what lens did use .

Beautiful images,
I cant quite decide on which I favour.
Initially I thought I preferred the 1st shot for the close detail, but the 2nd shot has something special too, so I just cant choose.
