well ive been using a D80 for a while, or at least it feels like ive been using it for a long time lol.. and now, ive had many people asking me about a studio... or the idea of a studio. I am a young teenager who just wants to have fun with my camera. and i would love to experience shooting indoors lol

now the challenging part my budget is a little low.. and i have no clue of what is needed in a studio.. i have some free space in my basement that iwould love to work on.. now remember.. low budget and but im looking for decent results..

does not have to be professional YET lol... i just want to experience and see if i like it.

Two lights will get you on your way.

Mabe some dark cloth or paint the back wall dark..

Just a set of lights that will be enough for now.

Why don't you ask some of your friends to pose for you and go and find some good locations and do an outdoors shoot?
That will give you an idea whether or not you will like shooting people and get some good shots in the process. It will also help you decide whether that's the style of photography you want to take into the studio environment, and you won't have wasted any money if it's not for you!

I would say they are whaaayyy overpriced for what they are, for another £43 you could get THESE which are far far better, those ebay ones used to sell for about £60 until people started buying them thinking they were getting a bargain (myself included) and they whacked the prices up, you say your on a low budget, but tell us how low and you can be advised accordingly, Lencarta and Elemental have some very good budget lighting systems ;)

well ive done outdoors. but for this time, i need something indooor.. i can spend $300 to 400$ on equipment. so what kind of lights should i buy??
***i live in the US BTW

As you're in the U.S. your best budget buy is almost certainly Alien Bees. Not the best, but cheap and with a reputataion for good customer service
